How To Enjoy Paris In Spring: 5 Things To Do
Table Of Contents
Officially, Spring starts the 20th of March in Paris, it’usually, still, pretty chilly around this time though! Spring last until the 21st of June a good time frame to visit Paris in spring at its peak is between mid-April to mid-May.
#1 Check out the blooms!

There is florals arrangement dotted all throughout the city shyly starting to bloom when Spring begins.
Parks and gardens are without a doubt the top places to witness the magic of spring, to feel the breeze through your hair and the soft perfume of the flowers.
There is a tremendous list of parks and gardens located in Paris but if you were to only check out a couple of them I’d recommend the followings:
– Jardin Des Plantes // 57 Rue Cuvier, 75005 Paris
– Jardin Des Tuileries // 13 Rue de Rivoli, 75001 Paris
– Jardin Du Luxembourg // Jardin Du Luxembourg 75006 Paris
– Square Des Batignolles // 144bis Rue Cardinet, 75017 Paris
– Parc Monceau // 35 Boulevard de Courcelles, 75008 Paris
– Parc Des Buttes De Chaumont // 1 Rue Botzaris, 75019 Paris
You can also hunt for the cherry blossoms throughout the city, they are everywhere! However, they can only be seen at a certain period as their lifespan is pretty short compared to other flowers or plants. A famous beautiful spot to see cherry blossom is the Square Jean XXIII around Notre Dame.
Another great spot to check for flowers is the fower market ” Marché aux fleurs Reine Elizabeth II” located close by the Notre-Dame Bridge.
- Adress: 37 Place Louis Lépine, 75004 Paris
#2 Have A Pic Nic Or Afternoon Tea
After enjoying the sight of nature here comes the next best thing to do in Paris in Spring, which is a logical follow up of what we were talking above, picnic!
There is about 500 hectar of parks and garden. So, plenty of spaces for you to have a lovely picnic while enjoying the gorgeous spring weather.
A thing that every Parisians loves to do is having a picnic or a drink along the Quai De Seine when the weather starts to be nicer. It’s not rare to find bunch of people gathered around the river sharing drinks or food.
A famous spot on the banks of the seine is the garden of Tino Rossi in the 5th Arrondissement.
Remember what I said above about cherry blossoms? You can organise your picnic hanami-style near Paris if you’d like to while the cherry trees are
#3 Enjoy A Drink En Terasse
Drinking coffee or any kind of drinks en terasse is a pretty strong mindset of anyone living in Paris, I mean, whether it is Spring, Summer, Autumn or even Winter you will witness Parisians across the city sipping their coffees or drinks outside bar!
It’s part of our culture!
So, if you want to blend in on a sunny spring afternoon it’s the perfect way to do so! Most people have coffees but if, like me, you don’t like coffee (yes, I am French and I don’t like coffee, I know) you can always enjoy a cup of hot chocolate!
Or some tea, this is not a place where you can have a drink en terasse but Nina’s Paris is one of the cutest tea room you can find in Paris! The decor of the shop is also very spring like – perfect!
#4 Stroll Along The Seine & Check out the bridges

Paris is crossed by a river called La Seine, meaning there is plenty of amazing bridges and sights that you can enjoy along the river, whether they are on the Rive Gauche or the Rive Droite.
You can join whichever side of the city by crossing any of those bridges, although a few of Paris’ bridges don’t actually cross a body of water!
Not only you will see beautiful bridges and views over the city, but, you will also inevitably get to see more of this beautiful city. After
The most beautiful bridges in Paris are the following:
– Pont Alexandre III
– Pont de la Concorde
– Pont Des Arts
– Pont Neuf
– Pont Mirabeau
#5 Take a boat down the Seine

Of course you can do this all year round, but, I believe and I’m sure most will agree with than Spring is the best season to cruise down the Seine to see all of Paris landmarks from a different perspective!
If you’re not too keen on the idea, you can still enjoy a boat on the Seine for the time of a dinner or a drink for example. Lots of them offer fancy dinner with a view of the Eiffel Tower.
Pretty romantic activity to enjoy your meal on the Seine while watching the Iron Lady twinkle in the fresh air of a Spring night.
Last but not least if a fancy dinner on the Seine isn’t your cup of tea as well and you’re turned toward partying, there’s heap of boat that offer parties all accross the Seine, some doesn’t cruise along the Seine, but some do! It’s up to you to decide what you prefers!
