23 Photos To Inspire You To Visit Tokyo

Tokyo, Japan, is a dream destination for a lot of people. Every year, around 30 million people visit Japan’s capital. And it is easy to know why Tokyo is such a popular travel destination once you visit.

If you aren’t sure yet or need inspiration to plan your next trip, check out those beautiful photos to inspire you to visit Tokyo. Additionally, if you’re looking for some fun facts about Tokyo, I listed some below!

For a little bit of data, you should know that Tokyo is 2,194 km2, which is 0.36 times as big as New York and is home to 13.96 million people. So, it is a very dense city.

We know some numbers, but before we dive right into it, Japan is arguably one of my favourite countries to visit. I could stay repeatedly, and I would never get bored of it.

Japan has always been a country I couldn’t wait to visit; I first visited it right after I graduated from high school in 2012 and 3 more times in 2014, 2015, 2019 and one last time in early 2020 before the C-word put the world on hold.
I have a post about flying during a pandemic on that, by the way!

Tokyo also has a beautiful skyline; you wouldn’t think for a minute that there are many traditional buildings or little shops hidden in that city if you’d look at it from that point of view. And that’s one of the things I love about Tokyo.

This view is from Odaiba; you can see the rainbow bridge that glows at night. Also, you can find a replica of the Statue of Liberty there!

I had to add some Disneyland Tokyo photos there; I love Disney. I visited it on my 3rd trip to Tokyo, and I am happy I didn’t do it before, and I explored the city more. While Disneyland Tokyo is excellent, and the decors are beautiful, it is incredibly crowded and tiring, and you don’t get to do much.

I have a one-day guide about Disneyland Tokyo if you want to know more about it!
