How To Prepare For La Fête de la Musique

Despite what you may have seen on TikTok, La fête de la musique isn’t anything like Coachella or any big festival.

La fête de la musique is more like a big block party that happens all over Paris and France.

Of course you can do your make up or your hair but it’s best to wear something confortable.

  • Paris’ street are often wonky and you can find cobblestones in Paris so wearing heels might not be the most confortable.
  • Bring water, the weather is really hot at that time of year make sure to have water.
  • Some areas are going to be very packed make sure to pay attention to your surrounding and belongings, it’s best to not bring much out with you.
  • A power bank, especially if you plan to spend the night out you will need to charge your phone eventually.

That’s a wrap on this go to guide on how to celebrate la Fête de la Musique this year in Paris.

You may have seen the trend on TikTok of French people joking that you need to pay and be assured you can party wherever in Paris without paying, unless you get a drink in a bar of course.
